Origami paper

The word origami refers to the art of folding paper. Generally, sheets of vegetable fiber paper (washi paper) are used for origami, because it is the most suitable for the folding technique, with which both simple and very complicated figures can be created. Origami is linked to many legends. One of the most famous is taken from the book "Folding of a Thousand Cranes", by Senbazuru Orikata (1797). Cranes in Japan are a symbol of strength, longevity and good health. In fact, in the book the author says that "whoever manages to fold a thousand cranes will have their heart's desires fulfilled". Our origami paper packs are made of washi paper (vegetable fiber paper), of the highest quality, made in Kyoto and with elegant traditional Japanese patterns.
