Description

The Japanese name for this beautiful Kokeshi Doll is Red Cape.

The Kokeshi Doll takes its name from the elegant cape she wears

over the white dress.

The artist wanted to recreate the Halloween

atmosphere: the Kokeshi Doll in fact depicts a young girl during

the evening party. Her dress and her cape are decorated with cute

colorful flowers.

The Kokeshi is entirely hand painted by the artist Oki Izumi.

She has won numerous awards including:

1998: "Minister of Education Award"

2013: "Forestry Agency chief Award"

She is a member of the National Association of Creative Kokeshi.
