Wonderful Japanese Kokeshi made in a single piece by the artist Oki Izumi.
The Kokeshi is made and painted entirely by hand and with attention to the smallest details.
One of the peculiarities of this Kokeshi, are the elegant Kanzashi that decorate the hairstyle.
The purple Kimono is decorated on the front and on the left with white herons,
from which the Kokeshi gets its name.
On the back, however, we find "the tree of wishes" on which, during the Tanabata festival,
paper cards are hung on which your wishes are written.
The dress is combined with a sophisticated silver colored Obi,
which makes the doll even more elegant and refined.
